Worst Customer service I have EVER had. I called to get a copy of a police report and the Clerk told me the address was 525 S. State St. I drove all the way down to SLC, where they sent me to another location. I still couldn't find it so I called back and she told me AGAIN the address is 525 S. I looked up the number on Google and the address is 5025 S!!!!! By the time I found it they were closed. The clerk was no help at all. I would rate this 0 if that was an option.
Every police encounter I've had in Murray has always been positive or empathetic. The cops do their jobs well and dispatch responds promptly to theft and DUI reports.
Murray police officers are great. They do respond to incidents so quick. Much respect!!
The cops in Murray are some of the best. I haven't been into the office, so I can't rate customer service there. I was recently a witness to a car theft. The woman who owned the vehicle was suspicious of me and accusative in her speech, but the cops were very calm, and well grounded. They responded to the report promptly, looked at the facts and we're thorough in their investigation. They definitely have de-escalation training and I am very proud of the way they handled the situation and calmed the woman down. They even did a fingerprint dusting right there, which I thought was super cool and made a joke about CSI Murray, which they chuckled at.
The officers in this department should keep track videos shown to the public requesting assistance to identify suspects. I was called back promptly when trying to be helpful but almost reprimanded for a late answer to a telephone call when in fact it was a phone defect. Later , when returning a call by their request, no one answered after five rings. I was also told the media made a mistake and that no such street existed in Murray. It would be nice if the Murray Police Department got to the bottom of such mischief and publish a public apology.
Some random police officer went above and beyond to get my car towed from my apartment complex, thinking he's doing some kind of favor. Nice going hero. It's obvious this department is trash, majority of reviews would agree. Do something important, save some lives or protect some people. Do yourself a favor and quit. The officer couldn't even own up to it and tell me his name... stay ashamed and embarrassed.
