I mean they let me use their truck and they let me keep it for longer than I was supposed to although the last week I got charged for extra couple days because nobody seemed to be able to tell me where I could turn a truck in that was feasible for me. And no one contacted me back after I drop the truck at the South State Street location. Lack of communication on that part. But moving day is always stressful so what can I say?
My reservation was there but lacked part of my order in which I had to go back to get it.
Honestly.... WORST customer service ever!! Both employees were absolutely rude and seemed irritated or put out by helping me.
Don't go to the Budget Rental Car/Truck location on So. State Street in Murray, Ut. Very poor customer service, especially by the lady employee. Could not solve problems, continued to come up with excuses, and argues with customers who have legitimate complaints. I rented a small moving truck for a 700 mile round trip. The truck ran ok, but was dirty inside and out. I asked them to clean it and they said they couldn't because they did not have a car wash....I took it to a do it yourself wash and did it. Also had to clean mud and sunflower seeds from the inside. I have rented before from Budget and should have learned my lesson. Don't use Budget...and especially don't go the the one in Murray!!!! I was told they could not refund me any money or pay for the $5 wash and that I would have to call a customer service number....they said "that is handled by another company!!!" Amazing...go to U-Haul or Penske.
Long story... Choose another budget rental station in the SLC area because this one in Murray on state street was terrible.
The lady that works at the Murry (Utah) location is a horrible person. She's a liar & really unprofessional. She gave me a quote of $70/day when I told her I was going to have my truck for more than the 5 days I was given -to return the truck. She refused to give me her name so I could report her to customer service. Not just her- Budget is a rip off!! They refused to lower my bill or work with me. They weren't willing to come to a reasonable amount and they found so many extra charges to rip me & my family off with. Make sure if you rent a truck or car here (which I highly recommend you DON'T) you get them to sign a paper when they quote you ANYTHING. Cause when you call to fix your bill- they repeatedly say, 'So sorry ma'am, there was no such quote entered into the system. There's nothing me or our supervisor can do for you.' When you ask to speak to the supervisor, they send you to a non-working line that just keeps ringing, until you give up & hang up (literally waited 30min hoping I'd speak to someone). I ended up biting a $711 bill- when I was supposed to pay $300... BIG difference, especially for a family of 7 trying to save money to move into a home in a new state. Dirty, lying, money stealing crooks. Please do yourself, your wallet, your family, your mental state a huge favor- DONT USE BUDGET. They're so dishonest.
