As a knee surgeon, Dr. West is phenomenal. He was thorough in his examination and diagnosis, and he answered my long list of questions patiently and clearly. He was so precise and non-disruptive with the surgery, so even as a non-athlete my recovery and rehab went about 3x-4x faster than any of the other "ACL / MCL rehabbers" I met at my Physical Therapists' office. He will take great care of you.
Dr. West and his team are wonderful to work with. He has an excellent beside manner. The physical therapy team works closely with him to ensure the best possible outcome.He operated on one of my hips and two years later the other. I highly recommend him!
I had a very serious knee injury (along with artery and nerve damage) and Dr West was one of the only docs to accept me as a patient. I had 4 torn ligaments and was told by other Ortho docs at another hospital i'd have a year full of surgeries and a long recovery. That was almost 3 years ago. Under Dr. West's care and a lot of rehab and NO surgery on my ligaments, I am doing better than anyone ever expected and almost back to "normal" life. Dr West and his crew are absolutely amazing!!!!
I suggest Dr West to everyone because for the last 4 years no surgeon would look at me. I go to Tosh and they said this needs fixed asap. They got me on the schedule fast. Every one has been great.
Turned away any welfare patients... Funny. My welfare insurance was great for you when you were just starting out..U wouldnt even return my calls .. I was in a desperate situation...Hugh West does not have interest in serving the poor...
