I reserved an SUV two days ago. I just showed up for my 6:00 pm reservation and all they have on their lot is a small pick up truck. The woman at the counter was unapologetic and very unwilling to offer any solutions. Just as I was about to leave and go to Enterprise, another customer was just returning in an SUV. He told me that he will never be renting from Budget again because he was treated so poorly.
At that point the woman at the counter said she would rent that one to me but wouldn't have time to clean it, and that should be "good enough". When he came back and she took my information for the car, we got all the way to the end of the paperwork and at that point she informed me that they would need to hold $300 on my debit card in order to rent. This was never clarified at any point of the reservation.
I did not end up renting here, and NEVER will.
I rented a small SUV for a week in August 2017 and had a good experience. I was nervous because of reading some bad reviews, but I had no problems. The Nissan Rogue was great to drive and the price was much less than other places. After I returned the car, I noticed the "pending charge" on my credit card statement was more than they told me it would be, but before I had a chance to go in to the store to ask for it to be corrected, I saw on my credit card statement that the correct charges ended up on my car. The staff was friendly and I would rent from Budget again.
I know This because 1 time I came in to rent a truck and the guy was sitting on his cell phone?
This is a great location and seems like they more cars and commercial trucks, nice clean office 1 thing they are lacking on is there customer service and can't get a hold of them when you call them ?
If you can't answer the phone and answer simple questions they shouldn't work there,, you guys are loosening a lot of business.......
My husband and I rented a truck - a full cab F-150 - for our honeymoon from Budget Rental in Salt Lake because it was far cheaper than competing rental agencies in the Salt Lake valley. Upon arriving, we found that the only truck on the lot was a Nissan Frontier because the truck we reserved had sprung an oil leak. The woman at the desk basically told us we could take the Frontier, a smaller truck, or a car, neither of which would suit our purposes or the price we paid for the specific vehicle. After some back-and-forth, we finally got the rental agency to drive a truck from the airport that was a closer model to our reserved rental. However, it didn't end there. After returning it on September 2nd, we received a call saying the agency had found my engagement ring in the cab of the truck. We drove to the Salt Lake location from Centerville only to find the truck had been taken to the Murray location, with the ring. Budget assured us they would mail out the ring and put us in touch with the manager, Phil. Two weeks passed and I hadn't seen my ring, so I contacted him again. Another two weeks passed and I sent out another reminder, and this happened yet again a week later. Finally, after several weeks and several excuses, Phil told me he had them at the Murray location and would get them out in the mail, but that he was no longer managing the Murray location. This was on Halloween. I called again today only to be put in touch with no other than Phil himself, who assured me they had been put in the mail, yesterday, after several weeks of the same excuse. I would rather pay extra and deal with a professional rental facility than have to go through this ordeal again.
Since Budget moved to the new location in Murray the service has been extremely good. I have rented from this location 3 times this summer. They were really good about helping me get the auto that would accommodate my needs even though I rented something slightly different. I will keep using this location.
Im sick of trying to get a hold of them over the phone seriuosly its like the employees see is someone calling them so they transfer them to the automated system,
